REQUIREMENTS & ADVICE
1. You will need a provisional motorcycle license. Check your existing car license as entitlement isn’t always included. If it isn’t you can apply online here or pickup a form re your local post office or for a new license if you are over 17. Provisional entitlement must be in force before you legally ride on the road and can be obtained quite quickly.
2. To obtain insurance so we can register a new scooter in your name you will need to pass a one day CBT (compulsory basic training) course. Some insurance companies will issue insurance prior to you taking a CBT course. Of course this insurance is null & void if you venture on to the road without passing a CBTcourse. An insurance cover note is required by us in order to register a scoot to you as a first registered keeper.
3. The CBT one day course is good fun and a very good module for safety training. The cost of this course is included in the £1990 of your scooter and is booked by us at your convenience. In Gear Training operate at the Hand football stadium in nearby Clevedon . They keep an identical LML Star in house and this is the model you will be trained on. We are only 10 minutes from Nailsea & Backwell train station, 15 minutes from Junction 20 M5.
4. The CBT course is all about safety awareness. It is not difficult and not really a pass or fail test unless you are completely incompetent! Once you have passed your course you can return to our unit and ride away your new scooter legally and safely on the road! The CBT test certificate last for two years and will need to be renewed thereon unless you opt to take the full motorcycle test. If you do you will be pleased to know that this model is A2 test compliant and not A1 like the Italian model. This means at a later date you are not restricted to max 125cc on successful passing.

Pay for the scooter*. Payment can be over the phone by card, online transfer or cheque-

We will then send you a questionnaire with a self addressed envelope.

Complete the questionnaire and return with two forms of identification. Nothing valuable please. Items such as a utility bill, cover letter from bank, employer etc. All I. D must be under three months old and be original (not photo copy or fax), no mobile bills. As long as the two forms of I. D have your name & address on DVLA will accept.

Insurance, on receipt of payment we will issue you a VIN number (vehicle identification number). Return to us ASAP an insurance cover note with the VIN number clearly stated on and your details. Prior to placing your order you can of course obtain quotes from different companies. When you see one you want to accept keep the quotation reference so that you can enable it just prior to submission to us.

In summary once we have payment, 2 forms of I. D and an insurance cover note we can then submit to DVLA for first registration. This usually takes three days. Your scooter then receives a number plate and is ready for you to ride away!

OTHER POINTS TO CONSIDER
This is not a cheap disposable automatic scooter. We think this is one of the best 2 wheeled deals around. Although they are inexpensive to buy residual values differ to automatics. All automatics regardless of badge will devalue rapidly. Chinese autos will devalue to zero within 3-
