Depending entirely on specification we supply 35 variants of PX engines, both small and large block types. They can be either oil injection or not, electric start or not, reed valved, tuned or standard. To obtain a quotation on a new engine please email here explaining your exact spec. You can expect costs to be from £950.00 to £1650.00 depending entirely on requirement. And state or readiness of engine.
REMEMBER: all Malossi/Polinni engines are ported suitable for rapid road, with middle spec carb setup. these are basic examples for your guide.

Examples are only cost guides. non injection, electric or non electric start, different carbs, flywheels, stators, cranks either cut/polished gas
flowed and lightened are all available on request. There is no warranty on any tuned version of high performance engines supplied by Eddy Bullet. However we will be sensible if an unreasonable failure takes place. On standard engines we offer a one month warranty to cover part or total failure of components depending on cause, please email or telephone for details.
We send these engines out to all sorts of customers fitting them to many different specs of scooter and with dozens of different types of exhaust.
Please note all engines are setup for ‘middle’ performance and installer is ultimately responsible for final settings and fettling of carb etc as we do not
know customers final specifications. For advice on ‘proving’ engines please contact Eddy. We cannot be held responsible for loss or damage caused by an engine not being set up finally and correctly.

Why EDDY BULLET for engines?
We are a centre of expertise for these scooters. We do not do Lambretta, nor we do not do autos....infact all we specialise in are geared Vespas mostly post 1977! We have unrivalled knowledge on vespa compatibility and suitability within models. We only use Italian, German or Japanese bearings & seals in ALL our engines as we do not buy in Asian engines already supposedly ‘sorted’ like other suppliers. We keep over 1200 components ranges from four countries dedicated to these workhorse scooters. Nobody else in the UK can touch us on the Vespa ‘new range’ and various variants.
engine uses?
Goldstar engines are by nature usually tired old engines that are overdue a good overhaul. We find that mostly the goldstar plus engines are usually supplied to customers who are carrying out home renovations on their own scooters and who are wanting to go a bit further for aesthetic reasons.
Repairs are random and unpredictable., however approx a quarter of the engines we repair have been bought in good faith from either eBay or Asia. The balance of repairs are as a result of damage caused accidentally by the home mechanic or as a result of incorrect setups of performance kits.
New engines are nearly always supplied to customers who have had enough of existing units, are building a special custom job or in most instances are re engine fitting an imported scooter from either Vietnam or India to replace the unsatisfactory unit supplied. Either way BULLET engines offer a fantastic method of recovering a difficult or problematic scooter.

In standard format we can supply a factory engine ready for you to fit. To re-engine an old PX or give power to an old school Vespa there is nothing better than a new PX engine. We take brand new units or 100% components and tare down/build up new units to your exact specification. Manufactured in Bristol using original factory tooling & torque-build sequence we offer all engine with mechanical warranty.

We offer 35 variants of engine rather than the four commercially available. There are two blocks and if you mix and match all possible combinations of injection, auto start, gearing, clutch performance kits etc there are many more. The 35 specs listed here are some of the more popular. In addition we are also commissioned to build engines for custom show scooters etc.
All engines are assembled using original build sequence, torque settings & tooling. In addition on all custom engines every clutch side seal is yamabond adhered for extra protection.
All engines are dispatched with oil seperately and running in instructions. We offer an advice line so do not feel you are alone with yoru engine. If you require any advice on how to do finals and how to prove - commission your engine you can always speak to a member of staff. We cannot take responsibility for a mullered engine if you do not prove first.
