NEW ENGINES & TYPICAL BULLET ENGINES, RETAIL GUIDES ONLY.

Depending entirely  on specification we supply sixteen variants of PX engines, both small and large block types. They  can be either oil injection or not, electric start or not, reed valved, tuned or standard. To obtain a quotation on a new engine please email here explaining your exact spec.  You can expect costs to be from £550.00 to £1600.00 depending entirely on requirement. And state or readiness of engine.

REMEMBER: all Malossi/Polinni engines are ported suitable for rapid road, with middle spec carb setup.  these are basic examples for your guide.

Examples are only cost guides. non injection, electric or non electric start, different carbs, flywheels, stators, cranks either cut/polished gas
flowed and lightened are all available on request. There is no warranty on any tuned version of high performance engines supplied by Eddy Bullet. However we will be sensible if an unreasonable failure takes place. On standard engines we offer a one month warranty to cover part or total failure of components depending on cause, please email or telephone for details.
We send these engines out to all sorts of customers fitting them to many different specs of scooter and with dozens of different types of exhaust.
Please note all engines are setup for ‘middle’ performance and installer is ultimately responsible for final settings and fettling of carb etc as we do not
know customers final specifications. For advice on ‘proving’ engines please contact Eddy. We cannot be held responsible for loss or damage caused by an engine not being set up finally and correctly.

Why EDDY BULLET  for engines?
We are a centre of expertise for these scooters. We do not do Lambretta, nor we do not do autos....infact all we specialise in are geared Vespas mostly post 1977!  We have unrivalled knowledge on vespa compatibility and suitability within models. We only use Italian, German or Japanese bearings & seals in ALL our engines as we do not buy in Asian engines already supposedly ‘sorted’ like other suppliers. We keep over 1200 components ranges from four countries dedicated to these workhorse scooters. Nobody else in the UK can touch us on the Vespa ‘new range’ and various variants.

engine uses?
Goldstar engines are by nature usually tired old engines that are overdue a good overhaul. We find that mostly the goldstar plus engines are usually supplied to customers who are carrying out home renovations on their own scooters and who are wanting  to go a bit further for aesthetic reasons.
Repairs are random and unpredictable., however approx a quarter of the engines we repair have been bought in good faith from either eBay or Asia. The balance of repairs are as a result of damage caused accidentally by the home mechanic or as a result of incorrect setups of performance kits.
New engines are nearly always supplied to customers who have had enough of existing units, are building a special custom job or in most instances are re engine fitting an imported scooter from either Vietnam or India to replace the unsatisfactory unit supplied. Either way BULLET  engines offer a fantastic method of recovering a difficult or problematic scooter.

          2. OPTION TWO  ‘GOLDSTAR PLUS’

Goldstar plus is the same as option one but with an emphasis on the
aesthetic look of the whole engine. We can split your engine down
completely and for a reasonable charge sand blast your cases, affix a
brand new fixing kit, cable guide, breather device, cooling hood, adjusters
and all other various engine furniture to make your engine look brand new!
We can also re spray your fan cowl, rear hub or replace with brand new
items to complete that ‘new engine look’.

                                              25 years old and has received
                                              a ‘goldstar+’ service with an
                                               additional electronic conversion.

NOTES ON OUR ENGINES. All Goldstar levels of restorations come complete with Italian, German or Japanese genuine bearings, seals & cruciform's. We only use Italian or equivalent high quality cranks and high grade friction components in all our vespa engines and for all upgrades.
With regards new engines a lot of the new ones advertised by other dealers are usually restored versions brought in from India. Whilst they may be slightly cheaper they will have inferior friction components . All our new engines are are 100% new and with no previously  pre used components. Our workshop is located near Bristol
SW England 5 mins from Junction 20 M5 and we ship Worldwide.
New vespa engines and vespa engine restoration goldstar service from Eddy Bullet. Full mail order and workshop jig facilities available. We can pickup your engine anywhere in the country  for just over a pound per kilo. We offer unique three levels of engine renovation service for piaggio, LML and all  vespa geared classic scooters. Eddie bullets  can split, inspect and report on engine condition carry out all repairs where practicable and once completed resend finsihed restored engine back to the owner. We use genuine piaggio components and oe orignal equiptment LML spares throughout. All bearings seals (friction components) cruciforms and gaskets are genuine Italian german or japanese parts. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN HAVING YOUR VESPA ENGINE REPAIRED OR RESTORED PLEASE CONTACT US TO FIND OUT THE PROCEDURE.  IN THE MEAN TIME HERE IS SOME IMPORTANT  NOTES ON PACKAGING YOUR ENGINE. AND FOR YOUR REFERENCE.
We cannot accept responsibility for damage to an engine in transit. Whilst our couriers take every precaution to protect
consignments ultimately you do need to thoroughly prepare & protect your Vespa engine for transportation. Before packaging, DRAIN ALL OIL THOROUGHLY,
REMOVE PARTS NOT REQUIRED SUCH AS HUB, KICK START ETC.
Wad & wrap your engine up thoroughly in bubble wrap, old blankets or whatever protective material you can muster. Make your engine in to a snowball with particular
attention paid to kick start  quadrant or any other protruding parts. Once you have the engine protected, taped up & in wadded box with  the engine sitting on extra padding
fill all cavities with any soft lightweight material. Tape up the box & then put our address clearly on the top, Eddy Bullet, Unit 5, Blackfriars Rd, Westend Trading Estate, Nailsea Bristol BS48 4DJ

Once you are ready telephone us on 01275 810444 so that we can take your information and arrange next working day  collection. We only take at
this point for the initial pickup cost. The balance will not be collected until completion and when we are ready to return your engine.
